Visions
May the peace of the Lord bless all as we each search for guidance by our heavenly Father,
It is often put to light that most people don’t go after their dreams. Recently I talked to someone who is very bright and is a pre med student; he wants to go after his dream. However, that dream for now is not completing the Doctor status; it is an opportunity with a rock band that signed a contract with Atlantic records.
A number of years ago, the church members decided to pursue adding another wing to the Day school. That has helped the school expand to three grade levels with class sizes that are not overwhelming to support that opportunity. It gives the school ministry that much more God blessed time to share Christ.
This past year the planning commission agreed to allow the school to expand to 678 students. It will take time and prayer for that to occur. What else will it take to have families want to be a part of this ministry? The accreditation team which gave the school outstanding reviews stated it does need to further evaluate the hiring of a full time foreign language instructor. That makes sense in this community.
What is the next step for visions for helping the Great Commision occur here at St. Paul’s Lutheran School? There is a mix of regular operations improvement at the Preschool facility. There are soft surface ideas at the Day school. Yet the biggest idea of all is the already approved idea of the future gym. That will take over three million dollars to complete.
At this point, the gym is not the immediate priority for capital improvement campaigning. Yet, I have seen all across the country large donations for big projects when you share them. So, here I am sharing the idea again to pray about a new gym at the Day School in God’s time. That may be this year, ten years from now; or He may have a complete new plan.
May all of our visions for ministry be heard and shared and may God’s hand bless each one according to His almighty plan.
