Worship Times
WorshipAs a church that is almost 100 years old, St. Paul’s has seen a variety of worship formats, musical styles, hymnals, and even church buildings come and go. The one thing that has always remained constant is a fervent desire to worship our Lord and Savior with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to come together to be near and be transformed by His Word and Sacraments.Today, St. Paul’s offers five distinct worship services, each one with the goals of hearing God’s word and praising Him for His great love. Saturday 7pm - Blended ServiceThis service provides a worship setting for those who prefer a Saturday evening service or perhaps cannot attend on Sundays. The sermon is the same as that on Sunday mornings and the music reflects a blended format led by piano.Sunday 8am - Traditional ServiceThis service provides an opportunity to worship in a traditional, liturgical format featuring many of the great hymns of our faith accompanied by the organ. This service also regulalrly features the St. Paul’s adult and school choirs, as well as instrumental selection from our Flute and Handbell ensembles.9:30 am - Praise ServiceThis service features the best of high energy contemporary praise music led by a full band including drums, guitars, piano, and vocalists. The words for songs are projected on a screen, various forms of multi-media are often used, and the adult and children’s choirs perform regularly.11:00 am - Praise ServiceThis service is identical to the 9:30 praise service, with the addition of a children’s message.6:30 pm - "The Rock" Youth Worship ExperienceThis is a high energy youth worship experience that features harder-edged music than 9:30am, a casual atmosphere, and passionate messages on topics that are relevant to the youth of today. Many families attend this service as well. |
